- Confirm the person or business name and callback number.
- Agree the vehicle, route, dates, pickup, fare and cancellation terms in writing.
- Never treat an OTP, badge or public profile as a guarantee.
Before you travel

A listing, phone verification or Journey Choice badge is not a substitute for your own checks. Members arrange transport directly, outside the platform.
Vehicle checks
- See the registration certificate and confirm the vehicle matches it.
- Check permit, fitness, insurance, pollution and tax documents required for the route.
- Confirm passenger capacity, seat belts, luggage and condition before departure.
Driver checks
- See the original driving licence and confirm the driver’s identity.
- Confirm the licence and any required authorisation cover the vehicle and journey.
- Do not accept intoxication, unsafe speed, fatigue or pressure to bypass the law.
Protect yourself
- Do not publish identity numbers, full home addresses or payment credentials.
- Tell a trusted person your plan and share journey details where appropriate.
- Use the listing report and grievance form if something appears false or unsafe.
Immediate danger or crime
Move to a safe place and contact the appropriate emergency or law-enforcement service. In India, the national emergency number is 112. The platform grievance queue is not an emergency service.
