Terms of Use
Version 2026-08-v1 · Effective 16 August 2026
The important part
XtraTrip is a free information and introduction exchange. It does not own or operate vehicles, employ drivers, set or collect fares, take commission, process payment, or guarantee that a member, listing, document, journey or agreement is genuine or suitable.
1. Who may use the exchange
You must be at least 18 years old, able to enter a binding agreement, and authorised to act for any business you represent. You must provide accurate information and keep your mobile account secure.
2. Direct member dealings
Members contact and contract with each other directly. Before any journey, each side must independently check identity, vehicle registration, driving licence, permits, fitness, insurance, route permissions, price, taxes and all other legal or commercial requirements. Any fare or payment is arranged outside this platform.
3. Acceptable use
Do not post false, duplicate, misleading, unlawful, discriminatory or unsafe content; impersonate anyone; scrape or sell member data; send bulk unsolicited messages; evade limits; interfere with security; or use the exchange for fraud, exploitation or prohibited goods and services. Only post information you have the right to share.
4. Listings, contact and badges
Listings may expire, be closed, restricted or removed. Choosing Connect may reveal contact details to the relevant member and open WhatsApp. Journey Choice badges record limited evidence reviewed at a point in time; they are not a guarantee, licence, insurance certificate or promise of future conduct.
5. Safety and legal compliance
Every vehicle owner, operator, driver, agent and traveller remains responsible for applicable transport, tax, employment, consumer, privacy and local laws. Do not drive, travel or continue a journey you believe is unsafe. See the Safety Guide.
6. Moderation
To protect the community, the platform may rate-limit, review, restrict, suspend or remove accounts, listings or access. Serious suspected abuse may be preserved or disclosed where required by law. You may raise a review request through the grievance form.
7. Availability and liability
The service is provided on an as-available basis during the pilot. To the extent allowed by law, the platform is not responsible for a member’s conduct, transport service, payment dispute, delay, loss, injury or third-party communication. Nothing here excludes rights or liability that cannot legally be excluded.
8. Changes and contact
Material changes will receive a new version and may require fresh acceptance. Questions, notices and grievances can be submitted through the Help & grievance page.
